A lonely, long, and exhausting battle. Endless, it felt to me. Never resting, always on the move, always fighting but not knowing against whom or what.

Cold, dark, and as if in a haze, I went through life. And the loneliness, especially, was difficult.

How fortunate that I could choose not to be alone anymore and not to fight alone anymore. Together, I wasn't alone anymore. And so, step by step, I could climb out of the pit I was in.

I definitely was scared! Not knowing who I would be without the misery that seemed to offer me safety. It's false security, I know now, but back then, it certainly didn't feel that way.

Accepting help and opening my door just a crack was the best decision I ever made. I wanted to "just live" without the struggle. And I did it. A whole journey back to myself. Not easy, but so glad I did it.

I also wish YOU this journey! Because I'm sure you can do it too.
